Google Tour Builder is a new way to show your students the places they may not have visited and the experiences they would encounter along the way with the use of Google Earth. It allows you to pick locations on the map, add in videos, photos, text, then share your creation.

It is a web-based tool for storytelling, originally created for veterans to record all the destinations they visited as a part of their military service, and to preserve their memories and stories as a legacy for their families.

Take a look at the example Instructional Technology Coach, Aishia Daffin, created highlighting various historical landmarks in Alabama.

Katie Siemer of Talk Tech with Me created a step-by-step guide to getting started with  Google Tour Builder. Check it out!
