Many math teachers are looking for ways to incorporate digital tools into their lessons. Well, I have a tool for you… EquatIO, which is a digital tool that allows the creation of mathematical formulas, equations, Desmo graphs, and more on a computer, Chromebook, or tablet. It has Read&Write literacy software integrated, which can read mathematical expressions out loud. In addition, it can predict what expression you are trying to write, which transforms handwriting into text, ignoring “umms” and “uuhhs.”

EquatIO has a Google extension and is free to educators! If you would like assistance integrating this tool and/or want to plan a lesson around it, don’t hesitate contacting me.
